Do You Have Sleep Apnea?

The National Institute of Neurological Disorder and Stroke study an estimated 40 million of Americans have chronic or long-term sleep disorders yearly.?
Astongily most Americans sleep with someone who have a sleep disorder or knows someone with it. Much needed sleep is important to the human body in order to function properly the next day. Many people are lost on ensuring the proper way of getting a restful night sleep, so few Americans end up spending way to much money on beds, surgery, and other treatments. However in the end, still some are unfortunate with finding the right cure and leaving them with getting at least six hours of sleep.
Toss and turning can leave the body muscle tension uneasy and playing a part to why you can’t get to sleep. Other major problems are due medical condition that cost money to get rid of.
The four major problems of sleep disorders are Insomnia, Sleep Apnea, Restless Legs Syndrome, and Narcolepsy.
Insomnia is an irritating problem that can cause no sleep or difficulties maintaining sleep, while restless leg syndrome focus more on the legs, which can make the legs move uncontrollable or have restless legs continuously. Narcolepsy, on the other hand, want have a problem getting to sleep, but staying awake will be the task at hand.
None of the above sleeping disorders are not that controllable. But with Sleep Apnea being the second most annoying disorder, it is the one that causes people to stop breathing at night and possibly die in their sleep.
The definition states that Sleep Apnea is a disorder of interrupted breathing during sleep and it usually occurs in association with fat buildup or loss of muscle tone with aging. This is follow by symptoms of depression, loud snoring once asleep, memory lasp, and sometimes high blood pressure. Problems sleeping can be address with the right amount of procedures, it is best to seek advise from medical doctor if any on these signs match your case.?
Studies also have shown that most people are not diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, because few people don’t know they have it.?
And when it’s time to go to the doctor for that yearly exam, at the clinic some doctors don’t test for Sleep Apnea because that is not one of the requirements for a yearly exam. Its important to ask for a diagnoses if you feel you may have this disorder.
Meanwhile, most people don’t know that they have it, even though they wake up a few times every night, which could be considered a norm for most.
And if you are male then you should fear the sleep disorder more than most, because men who are diagnosed with the disorder could end up with erectile dysfunctions, as shown from the studies of polysomnography test.
Doctor Dennis Rosen is a sleep specialist who has been studying adult for a while and in his trial found that 69% of men ended up with the sexual malfunction.
Doctor Rosen also says, “The more you snore, the more likely you are to have decreased sexual function and erectile performance.”
Sources say there are treatments for this sleeping disorder and can help those with the deadly Sleep Apnea disorder.
Doctors may advise for obese patients to lose weight or change their daily routine habits such as stop smoking or drinking.
Well giving up drinking or smoking can be easier said than done and looking for the easy way out of a lack of sleep is easier step.
Treatments for Sleep Apnea include Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), which is a machine that delivers air pressure through a mask placed over your nose while you sleep.
Other treatments are surgery to remove excess tissue from your nose or throat that may be causing you to snore.
