When it comes to sleep deprivation, what are some of the finding about not getting sleep. Is not getting sleep so bad? Being a college student I thought I would take a look at the bad points of being sleep deprived. But I will share some of what I think good points are as well. Just remember, no matter how thin you slice it, there is always two sides.

Let us dive right into the first part, why is it so bad to not get sleep? Not getting enough sleep effects your mind. Your mind is what controlling your body. So you could be operation a very dangerous machine (your body.) I read a report where it stated that 43,000 people where killed and over 6 million people were in a car accident due to a tired driver behind the wheel. How about the damage it could do to your body? There has been finds from people whom are not getting enough sleep are more prone to get hypertension, pre-diabetes, heart disease,and even weight gain. It is also a hindrance on your immunity.

My good point of sleep deprivation. I have noticed for myself personally, my mind works better at night. I feel like I am more in tune and connected. But one bad point I have noticed when I don’t get enough sleep my attitude, reflex that matter.

If I had to weight the factors I would have to say all and all sleep deprivation is not a good thing.
