No one is exempted from stress. Everybody experiences stress and every one is susceptible to stress and the harmful effects it brings to the body. There are a lot of factors that will elevate stress in your life. These factors include loss of job, divorce, the death of a loved one, or even as simple as losing a game. There are about a percentage of Americans who are seriously deprived of sleep. This is a very serious matter to discuss since the body needs some of rest for it to become active at times when stress it bound to show up. Stress can result to a lot of physical, mental, and emotional effects to the body. Some of these are:

1. Increased susceptibility to diseases.

2. Nausea

3. Lowered concentration

4. Dizziness

5. Forgetfulness

6. Lowered attention span

7. Poor judgment

If you find yourself having two or more of the above symptoms then, you are a victim of stress. As you might have noticed over the list, all are cognitive deficiencies. It can be a very dangerous situation if you have impaired cognition over things. You respond slowly to the things around thus making you very susceptible to accidents. The National Sleep Foundation has compiled a study of about 100,000 accidents all of which are due to the fact that they have sleep deprived drivers. Having the right amount of hours of sleep every night is the recommended time of sleep each person should have to achieve quality sleep.

Getting the right amount of sleep is important especially to those who have a stressful line of job. If you are used to sleeping at ten in the evening and waking up at around seven in the morning and suddenly you change the time of sleep, chances are, you will experience insomnia. If you force your body to stay awake even at times when you are in stress only adds up to the problem. You should learn how to deal with stress and relieve yourself from them for you to be able to get a good night’s sleep and prepare yourself for the next day’s round of stress.
